Barracuda Spam Firewall 400

Postby shovenose » April 16th, 2011, 8:09 am

I got this thing to use as a server....
-Dual Core CPU
-2GB DDR2 RAM
-MSI K9MM-V / MS-7312 Motherboard
-Dual 250GB HDD
-220W PS
-1U Rackmount

The problem is that it run's Barracuda's OS.
I want to put Windows Server 2003 Enterprise on it.
But there is a BIOS password (I need to change boot order so I can boot from my USB CD drive)...
I have tried clearing bios with the jumper, removing the battery for 20mins, etc, but it still wants the stupid password.
Any ideas?

I don't know if it's exactly the same thing or not, but my high school had the Barracuda filter enabled. I hated the thing because it actually worked well, but they decided to block everything under the sun, even if it was a good thing to reference for school.

At my school me have "Lightspeed Systems" internet blocker. I hate that thing with a passion...every time I find a way past it, they catch it and kill my way within a week...

Well that's their job. If you want to have a way past it, you'll have to find a more obscure hole again and again.

Of course a more permanent "solution" would be to have an administrator user/pass, but let's not get beyond simple mischievousness here. :P
