should i get 4GB of memory or 2 for my next computer? i will run windows vista ultimate as I already own that.

4GB. Vistrash is an awful memory hog and can use all the RAM you can throw at it.

4GB is recommended, as memory is very inexpensive these days.

It depends where you buy it from, but usually around $60 or so

Yup, you actually pay less per Gigabyte the more RAM you get.

Memory modules are really getting cheap. I bought my 4GB kingston DDR3 1333 RAM for ¥189(about $29 USD) about two weeks ago. Now you can get it for ¥170(about $26 USD).

Exchange rate: 1USD≈¥6.47

Oh my goodness!! A kingston DDR3 1333 4G costs only RMB 133 here today, that's about $20 USD...
