New and 'improved' Sacon FZs :D

Postby c_hegge » March 14th, 2012, 12:44 am

If the original sacon FZ capacitors weren't 'explosive' enough, they're now coming without vent stamps, so these are going to be fun to overvolt :D

Two of them just blew the rubber seals half way out, the other three sent the cans into orbit. I think I also shot a small spider with one.

Here's a shot of the carnaige.

Sacon FZ is a VERY unreliable Brand/Series of capacitor. I found a few on a graphics card which don't have any vent stamps (grooves) in the top, so they exploded when I overvolted them.

The images have been garbled, so anyone seeing this thread without having seen the capacitors before won't be able to tell what it's about.

Shall I delete this thread, then? EDIT: Behemot retrieved them from Badcaps.net

I think you accidentally copied the thumbnail of the first picture instead of the full image. :lol2:
