Um...what's with that video card heatsink? is it supposed to be like that?

Nice job fixing the board though!

Yup. The fan failed originally, so I replaced it with that heat sink. It's originally from a Hipro PSU, but works quite well on that card. It's only an FX5200, so it doesn't get that hot.

Lol. What was the original cooling like? Was it one of those really small heatsinks? Because ive got like 3 passively cooled fx5200s, and i can't imagine meeding a fan!

Yeah, it was microscopic and got WAY too hot to touch after a few minutes without a fan.

Lol. No wonder the three of those i got had bulged Skywell SH(i)T caps :D

Its good to hear that you brought a life which was dead well i had a motherboard and it is not working.

Hahaha Replaced 4 the other day. Half an hour to replace. Its sooooo easy to do Hahaha and cheap
