upgraded to windows7 sp1 now
It took me about 1 hour to finish installing the 537MiB big SP1 off-line installation package. I have yet to find anything different, except the service pack 1 mark on the properties page. One thing worth pointing out is that: after the upgrading, there will be a thread (or process?) called "mscorsvw.exe" that eats up your system resources. There's a detailed explanation on what the thread is for and how to get rid of it. Check out the below link:

If anyone'll take some advice from someone who's already installed SP1, don't It screwed up my fonts - now everything's in arial bold.

lol sorry for that. It's alright here since I'm using simplified Chinese edition. And I haven't noticed anyting difference between sp1 and the original windows7.

I've got SP1, can't really see any noticeable changes, but it's best to install it anyway. I'm running Windows 7, so I may as well keep it up to date to get the most out of it.

I don't have SP1 because for undisclosed reasons I can't update...

sp3 it should better i guess why dont you install it?

Because sp2 or 3 havent been released yet for windows 7...

I assume he's talking about Windows XP, since SP3 was the furthest XP got to.

Are you running a pirated copy of Windows 7 shovenose? And you think that upgrading will get you caught.

I've got W7SP1, it's pirated. For some reason it's not activated, but I'll find a crack for that soon.
