Power supply topologies

Texas instruments prensents a document to those who would like to know about the topologies being applied in PC power supplies. What TI said in the document are totally beyond me, though.

The document presents ALL switching power supply topologies not what you may find in PC power supplies.

The only topologies used in PC power supplies are half bridge (old PSUs and current crap ones), full bridge (old high power PSUs >1kW, very rare nowadays), forward, two switch forward and active clamp forward (most, if not all actual PSUs). Also the ones with DC-DC VRMs which derive 5v and 3.3v from 12v, use the buck topology in the VRMs.
