Solid review. I agee with the comment. It has a good appearance but average performance.

The red 200-240V sticker suggests that the unit lacks APFC.

I wouldn't quite say that because I've seen PSU's have both APFC's and 230VAC only stickers. For example, the Superflower SF-450P14HE (A).

That's very unusual. APFC corrects the input voltage, so it doesn't matter what it is. My guess is that Superflower put an APFC power supply in a case which was originally intended for a non-APFC unit, and that power supply would probably work fine on 110V.

More likely Superflower has used some inadequate components for the APFC circuit of that unit. So thanks to the shrinked APFC, that PSU woundn't be able to deliver its labeled power on 110V. Nowadays, manufacturers do this alot. I can list quite a few PSU's that feature APFC, yet can't do their rated power on 110V:

Antec BP300P, VP350P, VP450P, VP550P, VP650P，Huntkey WD500 400W, Huntkey Silent King Win 7 Edition 300W (soon will be Win 8 I presume), Corsair VS450W.

Unlike the VP350P/VP450P, the VP350/VP450 sold in North America has no PFC.

It's series name suggests that it is not as solid ASrock.

You might want to correct the power outputs on the scope shots - you apparently pulled 756.68 and 925.64W out of a 520W PSU.

Also, could you make the time base of the scope smaller for a clearer view of the ripple? Or that's the max yours will go?

Thanks for pointing out the mistake. I fixed that.

The DS1M12 Stingray does support a smaller time base. I just use 20ms/DIV because it works OK with just about all power supplies. I like to keep it consistent, since it allows you to compare the wave-forms.
